On behalf of Father Jim Hartwell, Father Jeffrey Donovan, Deacon David Harvey, and the members of the Immaculate Conception Pastoral Council, we are proud to present to you the History of Immaculate Conception Church, 1850-2020.
The first period was created by Reverend James W. Embser, C.S.V., which covered the first period of Immaculate Conception Church's history, from 1850-1973. A hard copy of this booklet is housed in the parish office and is available to our parish community. Thanks to former Administrative Assistant Victorya Mattison for helping make it available digitally.
The second period, 1973-Present, was researched by Donald Cinque, and designed and edited by Victorya Mattison. This second period contains resume information on all the pastors who served the Immaculate Conception Church Community, along with their backgrounds, accomplishments, and memories. The following Immaculate Conception Church parishioners helped contribute: Susan Stout, Jane Aiken, Tim Aiken, Leanord Capizzi, Debrah Clark, Julie Willson, Mary Rhodes, John and Diana Embser, Mary Ann Newark, and John Hart. Dave and Jane Pinney from the Dyke Street Museum shared newspaper articles about the church.
