Hi Everyone,

There is very good news & not so good news today.  Fr. Vince is being discharged from the hospital today and he will go to stay with his sister Lucille in Varysburg.  It seems to me that this is a special blessing today since this is the 47th Anniversary of his ordination.  He really started feeling like his normal self last Thursday and each day has been better than the day before. His spirits remain high and his healing is right on schedule. So what’s the not so good news? The pathology of the tumor and tissue that was removed during surgery has been found to have a few bad cells and as you know the doctors originally believed there were no more bad cells. What does this mean? The doctors  are still assessing things and have not told Fr. Vince yet what this means in terms of treatment – but it is a possibility that there will be some more Chemotherapy – remember the word possibility and remember how well he responded to his treatments before the surgery. There is no reason for doom and gloom but there is every reason to keep on praying and asking God to bring Fr. Vince through this safely.  Stay focused on the positive things that are happening – that is what Fr. Vince is doing and it is what he asks of us.  I will continue to keep you all informed of what is happening as I learn about it.  Remember to keep praying and if there is anything you are all good at – it’s praying.  If you’re Irish (and aren’t we all today?) HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY from Fr. Vince.
