Hello Everyone. There hasn’t been much to report this week about Fr. Vince.  He had a quiet Easter with his family and is continuing to feel better every day. He is learning to pace himself and learn his limits. The last couple of days, he has been able to drive himself over to his farm from his sister’s home (less than 5 miles). That and the nice weather is creating a little Spring Fever (probably for all of us). I believe the worst is behind Fr. Vince now and that he will be back to a full life soon. The doctors have not given him a day to return to work – they want him to progress at his rate not theirs. He’ll know when he’s ready and then look out! So remember to thank the One who through his grace has made all this possible for Fr. Vince; thank Him for granting your petitions and ask Him to continue blessing all of us.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Easter from Fr. Vince. Since I last wrote, things have been progressing quite well. Father has returned to his sister’s home in Varysburg which is the next best thing to the farm! All his doctors are pleased with his progress. I finally got to see him yesterday and I think he looks pretty darn good – he’s lost some weight but he’s so tall, it looks good on him. His voice is still a little raspy (from the surgery & tubes), but strong.  His sense of humor is intact and don’t forget, laughter is the second best medicine; your Prayers are the best medicine. He is eating solid foods again but little bits several times a day. He tires easily and takes cat naps during the day but truly he is on the road to recovery. He is enjoying all the cards and well wishes you have sent him. He asked me to tell you he sends each of you his Blessing and wishes you a Glorious, Happy Easter.  Praise God!

Hi Everyone,

Fr. Vince had his angioplasty yesterday (April 2nd) to have the stint placed in his artery. There is no damage to his heart and the procedure went smoothly. Today he was discharged from Buffalo General and returned to his sister, Lucille’s, home to continue his recuperation. He’s so glad to be going “home”; he’s tired of hospitals and at Lucille’s he’ll be able to nap without someone coming in to take his vital signs just as he falls asleep. We’ve all been there – right? I will let you know on Monday how the weekend went.  The feeding tube has been removed and soft food has never tasted better. Fr. Vince wants you to know how much he cares for each one of you and how pleased he is when he reads all your cards and letters. Your prayers are still the best medicine he can receive, so keep them coming. He says he can feel them working – powerful stuff, those prayers.
